The Bastian Jütte Quartet plays jazz with a modern twist: poetic and hip at the same time.

On "The Cure" the quartet oscillates between complex and melodic-atmospheric passages. Band leader and drummer Bastian Jütte provides the compositional templates. These are mostly created on the guitar, which characterizes the song-like character of the pieces. "They usually contain a simple core, over which we lay a more complex level, so that they appeal to both the head and the heart, which is extremely important to me," emphasizes Jütte. According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, "despite his drumming temperament, he is one of the most sensitive companions on the drums".
His band mates are also all exceptional talents: Rainer Böhm, who crosses the boundaries harmoniously, on the piano, Florian Trübsbach on the saxophone, with whom Jütte has had a deep musical connection for 25 years, and Henning Sieverts on the bass, who not only creates creative, powerful accents.
